A petition has been filed proposing annexation of an area into Midway City. On 5 February 2019, the Midway City Council received notice of certification of the annexation petition, from the Midway City Recorder, pursuant to Utah Code Section 10-2-405(2)(c)(i). The area proposed for annexation is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of River Road and Dutch Canyon Road. The boundaries of the area proposed for annexation are defined in the following description:
BEGINNING AT A POINT WHICH IS NORTH 10.52 FEET AND EAST 2.69 FEET AND PROCEEDING 331.57 FEET NORTH 88°49'38" EAST FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 3 SOUTH, RANGE 4 EAST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN.
THENCE NORTH 88°49'38" EAST 446.26 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 26°09'24" WEST 57.88 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 22°33'38" WEST 152.90 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 21°24'08" WEST 464.13 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 22°39'58" WEST 126.94 FEET; THENCE NORTH 63°45'29" WEST 28.04 FEET; FOLLOWING A CURVE WITH A RADIUS OF 120 FEET WITH A CHORD LENGTH OF 64.76 FEET AND A BEARING OF NORTH 48°06'12" WEST; THENCE NORTH 32°26'56" WEST 126.94 FEET; THENCE NORTH 28°19'05" WEST 430.34 FEET; THENCE NORTH 61°40'55" EAST 205.98 FEET; THENCE NORTH 126.32 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING 5.629 ACRES.

Midway City may grant the petition for annexation and annex the area described in the petition unless by the end of business hours on 7 March 2019 a written protest to the petition is filed with the Wasatch County Boundary Commission at 25 North Main Street, Heber City, Utah 84032 by an entity authorized to file such a protest, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Midway City Recorder at 75 North 100 West, Midway, Utah 84049.

Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held by the Midway City Council on Tuesday, 5 March 2019, 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, Midway Community Center, 160 West Main Street, Midway, Utah. Time will be allowed for public comment regarding the following items:
Hidden Haven Subdivision / Preliminary Approval – Discuss and possibly grant preliminary approval for the Hidden Haven Subdivision located at 800 East Main Street. Recommended for approval with conditions by the Midway City Planning Commission.
Ordinance 2019-05 / Cul-de-Sacs and Road Lengths – Discuss and possibly adopt Ordinance 2019-05 amending Title 16 (Land Use) of the Midway City Municipal Code regarding cul-de-sacs and the length of roads. Recommended for approval without conditions by the Midway City Planning Commission.
