REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

WEBSITE GRAPHICAL REDESIGN

Midway City is accepting proposals for a new city website graphical redesign.

We have several goals and requirements.  The first phase in our process is a 100% graphic redesign.  The actual build/deployment of the website would be a separate project.

Interested graphical design companies should submit a one-page letter of interest describing their expertise and interest in helping us create a web presence that utilizes our updated city branding and showcases the best aspects of our town.  Based on the letter of interest Midway City will select up to five design agencies to complete and present a design sketch.  Each participating agency will be paid $1000 for an approximately 3 to 10-page demo.  We do not need a “clickable prototype”.  We only need to see the design proposal – screen shots shown in the presentation format is fine.  Midway City will own all design products that are presented and will have the option to “pick and choose” elements from all presentations we receive to use in our final design plan.  At this time, we don’t care what technology you use to create the designs and we will make any technology related decisions at a later point in time.

Our key design goals are:

  • Mobile first – we want all aspects of our site to look and work EXCELLENT on recent generation mobile phones, desktops and tablets.
  • Update, fresh appearance
  • Graphically showcase town vistas
  • Utilize our current city branding
  • Effectively handle our two “main” audiences in one cohesive design (at least on the landing page)
    • Tourists / visitors that are new in town or are planning to visit (marketing)
    • Residents that are looking for info about current events or city business
  • City Staff need to be able to update and maintain landing page , etc

Please visit these sites to get a sense of things we need the website to handle:

               httpswww.midwaycityut.org/city-council-agenda-and-minutes

Please be creative.  We hope you can “wow” us with your creative vision and can showcase beautiful Midway!

Letter of intent must be received electronically to ccovington@MidwayCityUt.org  by August 7th.  We will choose up to five agencies and respond by August 14th with our selections.  These finalists will need to be ready to present September 11th.
